WELCOME TO BLACKBURN
& DISTRICT DRIVING
INSTRUCTORS
ASSOCIATION
Welcome to our web site. The association
was established
in 1975 to
provide business
and continuous
profession
development for
approved driving
instructors in
the Blackburn
and surrounding
areas. All
active ADIs are
encouraged to
enrol. We have
membership
categories for
retired and
semi-retired
ADIs, plus one
for trainee
instructors.
Business meetings are held bi-monthly on
the first Monday
in January,
March, May,
July, September
and November at
St. Stephen’s
Conservative
Club in Little
Harwood,
Blackburn.
Instructors
should contact
Terry Charnock
if they would
like an
invitation to
attend the
meetings or to
join the
association.
Our members have the benefits of regular
correspondence
and emails
covering a wide
variety of
business and
motoring
matters, plus
training
consultants who
are available to
answer queries
on all aspects
of teaching and
business
procedures. The
association
frequently
brings in
specialists to
address members
at their
meetings. We are
affiliated to
ADINJC (the
National Joint
Council of
Approved Driving
Instructors) and
are in regular
contact with the
Driving
Standards Agency
which is
responsible for
all driving
tests conducted
in the United
Kingdom.
All contracts with instructors and pupils
are between
these parties
and not the
responsibility
of the
association.
However, in the
unlikely event
of a complaint,
the association
will look into
the matter and
be fair in its
judgement.
It makes
sense to learn
to drive/or take
other driving
courses with a
BADDIA
Association
Instructor. See
our full list of
BADDIA members
on this web
site.
